THANKSGIVING

Oh dear God, I feel so very happy for the joy I have inside me. As I sit down and reminisce about this journey, all I can reaffirm are the words prophet Habakkuk said in Chapter 2:3 that…….for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end of it shall speak, and not lie: though It tarry’s, wait for it: because it will surely come.

Many are times I’ve been disappointed, discouraged and thought it will never happen but deep inside me a conscious always told me Lillian it’s going to be well. Dear God you were speaking to me and I heeded to your call despite all and say it over again that I CAN
.
One thing for sure I can attest is that life will always put forth challenges, hindrances and unpredictable hardships. Our role then is to maintain resilience, search for our passion and never give up.
As I look back since the beginning of this year and all through my study period, memories of long study hours and stressful exam days complemented by memories of friendship, co-operation and family support spring to my mind day and night. I will never forget my enduring exam month of how I felt was not going to end. But one most important thing is the compassion of my family and the backing of friends; who’ve pushed me forward and cheered my enthusiasm. All together, this social surrounding and emotional caress were undeniable sources of strength.

I thank God for this well-travelled journey of about 7 years and I look forward to reaping the fruits of all those pressures and celebrate the achievement of such hard work.

Till Next Year…………………….TO BE CONTINUED…………..

CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY TODAY!!!

.
Listen to this!!!We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another. Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough and that all will be well when they are older.

Then we become much frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out the teen years.....

We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire.
The truth is there is no better time to be happy than right now. If not, then when?when we can take a vacation or when we finally retire?

Your life will always be full of challenges. It’s better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.
For the longest time, it seemed that life was about to start. Real life. But there was always some obstacles along the way, an ordeal to get through, some work to be finished, some time to be given, and a bill to be paid. Then life would start.

I finally came to understand that these obstacles were life.
That point of view helped me see that there isn’t any road to happiness;happiness is the road.
So enjoy every moment, stop waiting for school to end, for return to sculptor,to lose  10  pounds, to gain 10 pounds, for work to begin, to get married, for Friday evening, for Sunday morning, waiting for a new car, for your mortgage to be paid off, for spring, for summer, for fall, for winter, for the first of the fifteenth of the month, for your song to be played on the radio, to die, to be reborn…………..before deciding to be happy.

Happiness is a voyage, not a destination.
There is no better time to be happy than now.
Live and enjoy every moment pal......................
