Our thoughts and expectations wield tremendous power and influence in our lives.we don’t always get what we deserve in life, but we usually get no more than we expect,we receive what we believe.unfortunately, this principle works as strongly in the negative as it does in the positive. Therefore what you believe has a much greater impact on your life than what anybody else believes.
Here is a story of a man by name Maurice Chevalier whom one night during his brilliant career suddenly felt dizzy. It was just before he was to go on stage. His brain seemed on fire. Cues seemed to reach him from far away, he tried desperately to get on track ,but his mind was a jumble. He felt hopelessly lost. His fellow actors covered up for him, but the debonair ease which was Maurice Chevalier trademark was not there. He hesitated and stammered for the first time in his professional life; failure had come to this great performer. He was ordered to rest and came under the care of Dr.Robert Dubois. He told the doctor I’m a beaten man and that I’m afraid of being a failure. There is no future for me now. He was advised to take long walks to repair his damaged nervous system. But the inner turmoil did not leave him. He was deeply afraid that he had lost all confidence.
What I’m trying to say is there is no guarantee but one must not be afraid of falling. Just like Maurice, he was afraid to step on a stage again so you are telling yourself that you’re finished, fear is never a reason for quitting; it’s only an excuse. When a brave man encounters fear he admits it, and goes on despite it. Don’t be afraid to be afraid, go on and perform even so.
I learn from Maurice own experience that if you wait for the perfect moment when all is safe and assured it may never arrive. Mountains will not be climbed, races won or lasting happiness achieved. At the end, Maurice achieved happiness. He never quit on life. He danced and sang his way into the hearts of millions who loved and respected him. He is a man who won a battle over himself, he did not settle for defeat. And the reason he did not accept defeat was that he learned the great lesson inherent in all human problems-you can if you think you can.
Friend if you’ll do your part by believing, having a big vision for your life, living with faith and expectancy, God will take you places that other people said were impossible to experience this side of heaven. Become what you believe!!!!!!!!!!
